Melissa started her career in the utility industry in 2004 after migrating from a public service role at the City of Oak Ridge, TN. She then worked in electrical engineering at the city for over 16 years where her duties included underground and overhead distribution line design, reviewing plans and working with developers, writing specifications for electrical products and managing projects for the city with various commercial and residential customers including the Department of Energy. After spending 32 years with the city, Melissa retired and joined Ruffin and Associates in September of 2021. Melissa’s duties at Ruffin include inside sales and technical support with a focus on larger accounts and EPC's and providing the best possible customer service. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys kayaking, chasing waterfalls, and spending time with her family.
